ART RESISTANCE IN OCCUPIED UKRAINE

Supporting artists’ collectives in art resistance initiatives in occupied areas of Ukraine.

 

We have identified several artists’ collectives who stayed on the occupied area of Ukraine (Kherson, Berdyansk, Melitopol) and are leading peaceful artistic resistance there. Art is a strong force to keep the Ukrainian resistance alight, rallying local residents to the Ukrainian cause through public space interventions, public and/or clandestine performances or other artistic means. With any forms of income-generation nonexistent under the occupation, we want the artistic collectives to continue their activities.
